CapTel® 800i
The new CapTel® 800i works like any other telephone, but it also has an Internet connection that displays captions during your conversation. You can listen to what the other party says while reading the captions.
How does it work?
With every phone call you make/receive, the CapTel® 800i connects to a captioning service over the Internet to provide word for word captions during the call.
Set Up Requirements:
- Line #1:
Telephone line:*- Analog
- VoIP
- DSL or
- Digital cable phone service
- Line #2:
Internet connection: **- high-speed internet or
- broadband service
- Router may be required***
- Standard electrical power outlet
* Not compatible with PBX system
unless an analog port is available.** People who do not have high-speed
Internet connection should use
CapTel 800*** Depending on how many devices you
have connected to the Internet, you
may need a router to connect
your CapTel 800i phone.
