CapTel® 800 is short for Captioned Telephone. CapTel 800 phone users place a call in the same way as dialing a traditional phone. CapTel connects automatically to a service that uses voice recognition technology to display verbatim captions of the conversation on the telephone’s screen, allowing you to hear and read everything the person on the other line says to you!

• 24-hour-a-day service is offered at no cost to users.
  • Users are responsible for their own long distance charges.

• Spanish Captioning is available for
  Spanish-to-Spanish calls.
  • Hours are 8 am to 12 midnight
    Eastern Time, every day.

  adjustable font sizes and colors.
• Amplified handset and tone control
  for optimal clarity.
• Requires traditional analog telephone line.*
